MN House voted down eliminating the tax on Social Security

From Representative Mortensen's Facebook page: Representative Erik Mortensen p d r n t o s S e o 8 5 h a l c 2 3 4 l g 7 h 7 0 g 9 l t i 7 1 8 l i 9 3 u m f g 4 6 0 h f m l 9 1 0 1 h 8 i l c 0 0 3    ·  With a $21 BILLION surplus, last night House Democrats, including Brad Tabke, voted AGAINST ending the income tax on social security benefits. But for all of last year Democrats campaigned on ending this tax. Unfortunately Minnesotans bought their lie and now the Dems have stabbed them in the back assuming nobody will notice. Red Vote means they voted against ending income taxes on social security. MNCORA members note, there are more Bills to eliminate or reduce the State Tax on Social Security in the pipeline. Unfortunately, you were not selected. The election results will be certified this Thursday at the PERA Board of Trustees meeting.   Thank you, again, for taking the time to participate in the PERA Board election.   Warm Regards,       GLADYS RODRIGUEZ  | EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT While I am disappointed the good news is I received over 7,000 votes! I spoke to PERA's Executive Director and he informed me I always have his ear.  This speaks a lot to the influence of the MNCORA members, we will not be easy to ignore. There's a lot of work to do protecting our pension and MNCORA has been and will be busy protecting and trying to strengthen our PERA Correctional Pension. One very important point. The
